Why 'First XI'?
In soccer, the First XI (Eleven) is a team's starting lineup - the eleven players most prepared to come together as individuals to achieve a common goal.
The starting eleven must take accountability for the team's performance, support one another in difficult moments, and outwork everyone else to keep their spots.

Our Staff

Davis Fox, CSCS
Owner & Head Coach
Davis has spent over a decade in strength and conditioning, helping hundreds of clients and collegiate athletes reach their fitness and performance goals. He served as a college strength and soccer coach from 2017 to 2025 and previously worked as a youth sports performance coach and personal trainer. He holds a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Ball State University and a Master's in Sport Coaching from the University of Denver. His coaching style is challenging and supportive in equal measure: he will meet you where you are, then push you to be better.

Our Home
Located at 1708 Carriage Rd., Riner, VA 24149, the gym is equipped for serious training in a welcoming environment. First XI Coffee is right next door, so it is easy to fuel up before or after a session.
